My name is Gwen Avinou I offer a mobile/freelance hairdressing service specialising in Bridal and special event Hair Design based in Edinburgh Midlothian.
As a wedding hair specialist I offer hair design services not only in Edinburgh but throughout Scotland and the UK. I cover areas such as the Lothians/Central Scotland, Fife and the Borders. On request I travel further afield.
As well as travelling to different venues I also offer a relaxed professional hair design service based in my home helping clients feel relaxed and welcome.

About McKenzie Hair Design
My passion for hairdressing started in the summer of 1991 where I fell in love with the art of hair design. I have worked in salons both in Scotland and England gaining experience and training in all aspects of hairdressing.
I decided to combine what I had learnt and started my new adventure and so McKenzie Hair Design was born in 1998.
As time went by it became clear my true strength and passion is Bridal Hair, special occasion hair design, fashion shoots, catwalk, fashion shows, balls and proms, creating hair design to stand out. I love meeting new people and creating beautiful hair.
I enjoy the creative cutting aspect of hairdressing and am thankful for a loyal clientele that have become friends as well as clients over the last 20 plus years.
